The incumbent is responsible for the prompt and efficient filing and retrieval of documents for various reasons. During loan peak periods, fast-track loans are processed and members are assisted as necessary.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES/MAJOR TASKS

The General Clerk-Credit is accountable for the following results: 

  1. Create new files and updating the existing loan files.
  2. Lend and retrieve loan files at the request of relevant personnel.
  3. Ensure that the loan registry is up to date.
  4. Ensure proper maintenance of members’ files.
  5. Maintain order in the filing room.
  6. Ensure that stationery and office supplies are available upon request.
  7. Assist in the dissemination of information about products and services to members.
  8. Assist in efficiently processing fast-track loans during loan peak periods.
  9. Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

The incumbent must possess good written and verbal communication skills; and should be a High School graduate with at least 5 passes in CXC/GCE inclusive of Mathematics/Accounts and English. The incumbent must also be computer literate.
