REPORTING AND ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

Reports to: Foods Safety and Export Mananger

Liase with: Quality Assurance Mananger, Production Managers & Supervisors, and Maintenance Managers




KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain floor presence to ensure food safety activities are being executed correctly.
  • Ensure compliance with SSOPs, food safety requirements, GMP, and Juici’s FSQMS.
  • Assist in developing and updating training materials and conducting staff training.
  • Audit production lines for product weights, assembly, packaging, and label accuracy.
  • Inspect and collect samples for lab testing and maintain proper documentation.
  • Calibrate and document plant equipment such as thermometers and scales.
  • Maintain records to ensure safe food production and effective traceability.
  • Monitor food safety software and verify tasks in a timely manner.
  • Conduct mock recalls and report all food safety deviations.
  • Investigate root causes of deviations and implement corrective actions.
  • Support in updating HACCP, SOPs, and FSSC programs.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Monitor storage and sanitation procedures for allergenic products.
  • Promote and enhance food safety culture within the company.
  • Liaise with external agencies for inspections and corrective actions.
  • Conduct pest control inspections and air quality sampling.
  • Swab surfaces for sanitation verification and monitor housekeeping standards.
  • Quarantine products that do not meet safety requirements.
  • Assist with customer complaint investigations and manage product recalls.
  • Prepare reports summarizing quality trends and product inspections.

EXPORT RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate with departments for loading schedules and inspections.
  • Inspect and verify consolidated products for export containers.
  • Apply for health certificates and manage export documentation.
  • Ensure all export records are complete and up to date.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Microbiology, Food Science, Chemistry, Agricultural Science, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience in food safety and quality assurance.
  • Working knowledge of at least 3 of the following: SQF, ISO 9001, ISO 22000, FSMA, FSPCA, HACCP.
  • Current Food Handler’s Permit and knowledge of relevant food safety regulations.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop positive relationships with colleagues, staff, and customers.
  • Flexible with work hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
