The Fleet Operations Manager is responsible for 100%Charter reliability. This includes coordination of all technical, mechanical, systems and general condition of each vessel in the fleet. Holding yourself and others accountable and a focusing on “preventative”’ are the keys to success in this role.

MarineMax Vacations, operating 40 vessels in the BVI, is recognized for the highest standards in reliability, professionalism and luxury yacht charters. To maintain this reputation we seek an experienced, motivated leader with technical background as well as management experience.
Our staff of 30+ team members service, maintain, clean and deliver our yachts over 600 times every season. This requires discipline, planning, and a motivated team. The individual we seek must be capable of leading the technical portion of this team. Eliminating problems and failures before they occur, training and educating the team, identifying and working with boat builders to improve quality are all elements of this role.

Duties & Responsibility: | 1) Deliver 100% reliability in charter guest experience. 2) Supply timely information to Parts Department when needed. 3) Ensure technical staff maintains certifications. 4) Establish daily and weekly service and maintenance priorities. 5) Make recommendation for training needs. 6) Recruit, hire and train to increase quality and depth of staff. 7) Provide regular updates on condition and turnaround progress. 8) Establish work schedules to achieve required work completion. 9) Schedule and monitor vendor work for timeliness and quality. 10) Provide employees direction at the beginning of their shift. 11) Assist in long term maintenance planning. 12) Hold team accountable for maintaining technical certificate status. 13) Assist team in diagnosis and technical support from vendors/manufacturers. 14) Mentor and grow team to elevate overall skills of staff. 15) Coordinate and document warranty repairs as needed. 16) Inspect quality preparations and scheduled completion of turnarounds. 17) Responsible for safety of all staff and guests on dock. 18) Assist in performing regularly scheduled employee evaluations. 19) Hold all direct reports to high standards and take corrective steps if they are not. 20) Minimize repair costs through proper diagnosis and improved planning of work, parts and vendors needed. |
