The Children's Authority of Trinidad and Tobago is a specialized agency with the responsibility for the care and protection of children, especially those who are at risk or have been victims of abuse or neglect.

The Children's Authority of Trinidad and Tobago is seeking to recruit for a Fleet Coordinator, on contract.

The Fleet Coordinator, is responsible for supporting the efficient operations and management of the Children’s Authority of Trinidad and Tobago’s vehicle fleet. This role involves coordinating fleet maintenance, managing vehicle records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing logistical support. The Fleet Coordinator will work closely with the Workplace Manager to ensure that the fleet operates smoothly and cost-effectively and that the Operations Courier/ Drivers are effectively assigned.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Transportation, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Certification in fleet management or a related field is desirable.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in fleet management, logistics, or a related field.
Principal Accountabilities/ Key Functions:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the fleet, including vehicle maintenance, repairs, and servicing.
  • Manage and track vehicle usage, including fuel consumption, mileage, and maintenance schedules.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all vehicles in the fleet.
  • Ensure all vehicles comply with local regulations and safety standards.
  • Monitor and enforce adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections of fleet vehicles to identify and address any safety or compliance issues.
  • Coordinate vehicle allocations and manage transportation requests from various departments.
  • Assist with the procurement of new vehicles and the disposal of old or non-functional vehicles.
  • Provide logistical support for special events and projects as required.
  • Track and manage fleet-related expenditures, including fuel, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies within fleet operations.
  • Prepare reports on fleet performance, expenses, and recommendations for improvements.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of vehicle licenses, insurance, and service histories.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on fleet operations, including vehicle status and maintenance schedules.
  • Assist with audits and inspections by providing required documentation and information.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding fleet-related inquiries and issues.
  • Provide support and assistance to staff in relation to vehicle use and troubleshooting
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Workplace Manager.
