Massy Wood is currently recruiting for a Field Supervisor / Performing Authority with significant experience in the oil and gas industry.

 

Overview / Responsibilites

 

The Field Supervisor / Performing Authority is responsible for construction and minor modification performance with respect to delivery of work, improvement, and cost and QHS&E performance.  The candidate is also responsible for the development of safe, effective, and efficient construction deliverables in adherence with project and statutory requirements. 

 

  • Responsible for the quality, accuracy, integrity, and timely issue of construction deliverables to MC1.
  • Ensures that the Construction work scope is clearly defined, and risk assessed applying masterful application of scope optimization processes.
  • Tracks the progress of all projects, reporting progress, concerns, and recommended corrective actions promptly to the Construction Lead.
  • Able to read and interpret red lines, isometrics, P&ID’s and other engineering drawings in the field and ensure site construction is according to relevant drawings.
  • Use company digital technology in the field to preform site visit, construction reviews and track site progress.
  • Review of contractors CTR to align resources and equipment on site with daily allocation.
  • Knowledge of formula to be able to calculate volumes, area, weights and lengths on site during execution to verify site inputs.
  • Ability to identify and record onsite changes to project scopes and inform Construction Coordinator.
  • Ensure all tools, materials and equipment are de-mob from site in a timely manner to ensure no additional cost to the project.
  • Acts as the site focal point for all Construction and fabrication related activities (TAR’s, Minor Mods, Campaign, CAT C and Repairs Orders) within the assigned assets.
  • Responsible for site construction management of all construction scopes,
  • Ensure all punch list items are documented and completed in the shortest possible time.
  • Responsible for assuring the complete documentation (GOC’S) of all implemented projects and ensuring that all Completion Dossiers are progressively signed off and accepted by all parties.
  • Verify contractors have adequate and competent construction resources available to execute the work and support commissioning activity within POB constraints and plans
  • Accountable for the accuracy of work progress reporting by reviewing, monitoring and validating contractors and fabricators construction performance metrics and KPIs to reduce contractors NPT to improve    wrench time and productivity.
  • Ensure correct subcontractor daily resource are assigned and tickets line up with resources onsite.
  • Responsible for capturing and sharing learning during the execution of projects.
  • Ensure projects are carried out in accordance with applicable codes, specifications, industry standards and Client Site Technical Practices (STPs)
  • Ensure QA/QC engagement in Engineering / Procurement / Construction. Ensure that all Massy Wood Group Subcontractors adhere strictly to all QA/QC requirements.
  • Ensure that Field ITP’s and Quality Check Sheets are completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensures certification is prepared for, communicated, and signed off during Construction.
  • Responsible for attending or calling into daily project and operations meetings (Simops meeting).
  • Responsible for generating and submitting timely, accurate daily reports to Construction Lead, Construction Engineer, and Construction Coordinator
  • Responsible for ensuring Subcontractors manages the site using proper industry Project Manager Tools in accordance to be approved project budget.
  • Responsible for day-to-day direction of subcontractors for their assigned activities
  • Perform all other related job functions as required.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field from a recognised university.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in construction / supervision in oil and gas industry.
  • Ability to synthesize complex or diverse information.
  • Ability to delegate work assignments and give authority to work independently, set expectations and monitor delegated activities.
  • Knowledge of Construction/ Project Management tools and process.
  • Knowledge of Construction planning, scheduling, and reliability concepts.
  • Ability to work effectively and prioritise in a high performance, fast-paced work environment.
  • Inspires and motivates others to work well and accepts feedback.
  • Seeks ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Ability to make decisions in a timely manner and exhibits sound and accurate judgment.
  • Actively promotes and personally observes safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly.
  • Ability to understand changing trends and developments within Industrial Relations and communicates their impact to the business.
  • Maintains the highest level of confidentiality and trustworthiness.
  • Proficient in Computer Applications including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
