Overall objective & purpose

Improve sales, product distribution, and visibility outcomes by supervising the sales territory, sales team, and retailer development. Coordinate sales execution activities and programs to meet sales targets in assigned jurisdiction(s). Develop effective relationships with lottery personnel, retailers, and internal team members in the designated territory. Tasks include improving sales through effective merchandising, training the sales force and retailers, recruiting retailers, and implementing promotional techniques. Provide daily supervision, development, and direction to the sales force.

Principal duties & responsibilities

  • Support the activation and execution of sales and marketing strategies to achieve the business objectives for all products.
  • Support in the development of training sessions with Sales Representatives and Retailers.
  • Complete on-site mentorship and monitoring for the FMRs.
  • Responsible for the execution and performance of programs developed to drive sales growth and improve visibility.
  • Visit retailers in the field to implement promotional plans, with a special focus on key accounts across various trade styles.
  • Work with the Retail Sales Reps to assist with the execution of appropriate communication material for our brands.
  • Work closely with Marketing to develop promotions and communication to increase sales.
  • Provide weekly updates on the agreed critical metrics.

➢ Assists management with:

  • Complete sales strategies to achieve sales objectives.
  • Implement sales building programs.
  • Formulating a quarterly business plan for their zone.
  • Screening potential recruits for retailers.
  • Conducting timely bi-weekly sales meetings to advise of new developments in products/policies and sales goals.
  • Resolving Sales Representative and retailer problems.
  • Advising of competitor actions.
  • Advises management and expertly handles sales problems encountered by the Sales Representatives during the performance of their duties.
  • Actively supervises assigned territories and mentors sales representatives on the quality of retailer visits, sales results, visibility initiatives, and development of retailers, providing constant feedback.
  • Improves sales rep service call efficiency through the supervision and control of records, reports, route coverage, and visit frequency changes.
  • Conducts performance reviews and issues applicable corrective actions, prioritizes assignment schedules (vacation, route coverage, proposed selling events, etc.) and budgets.
  • Communicates to Sales Representatives the company strategy and specific tactics such as sales promotion programs.
  • Leads Key POS and/or accounts in promoting sales, providing information regarding upcoming promotions, changes, and sales.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

Minimum education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in business or sales/marketing or related field, or
  • Demonstrated great amount of sales experience in multinational companies, plus sales and other types of programs through the years.

Experience

Essential special training or experience requirements:

  • Must be in an Active Supervisor position, with confirmed and validated experience and knowledge in their jurisdiction.
  • Sales Programs focus on (coaching, motivating sales force, mentoring).
  • Planning and Development of Sales Incentive Programs.

Essential requirements

Years of Experience:

  • 5 years of experience in Sales Supervisor Role within Fast Paced Consumer Goods Companies is a must, leading direct sales teams (distributors do not count).
  • Multinationals are a huge plus.
