To act as the "Premises Manager" for the Hotel Indigo Barbados.

POSITION: FACILITIES MANAGER

LOCATION: BARBADOS

JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

To act as the 'Premises Manager' for the Hotel Indigo Barbados, ensuring statutory compliance and being a primary contact in respect of all estates maintenance, development, events, security and safety matters.

Regularly inspects all facilities of the Hotel Indigo Barbados, ensuring that grounds, buildings, hotel rooms, etc. are clean and well-maintained. Inspects the work performed by stewards, maintenance, housekeeping, etc. ensuring that our hotel restaurant, retail and related facilities are maintained and operated to the highest standards.

Reviews and monitors Preventative Maintenance Schedules and ensures compliance to same.

Undertakes space audits and seeks to optimise the utilisation of space in the interests of the operations of the Hotel Indigo Barbados.

Serves as retail tenant and communications liaison ensuring tenant compliance with all terms and conditions of the tenancy agreements, while ensuring their needs are met and maintaining tenant satisfaction.

Serves as guest relations and communications liaison to identify any gaps in service levels and ensures corrective action is taken. Follows-up on complaints and reports as necessary.

Monitors the set-up and breakdown of all events, functions and other activities. Intervenes and communicates gaps to the appropriate personnel and ensures that appropriate action is taken.

Regularly monitors the facilities’ condition and work performed by facility support staff including security, maintenance, functions and events staff and stewarding/housekeeping staff.

Coordinates and plans with internal and external providers who are servicing our capital development initiatives to obtain the best level of service for the Company.

Actively seeks to determine internal and external customer requirements striving to meet and/or exceed customer needs.

Ensures that timely reports and advices are provided to Company Heads and the Group CEO with respect to all significant conditions/issues that arise that affects the operation and development of CrewsInn facilities.

Actively participates in all management and working groups as required by the Group CEO for Hotel Indigo Barbados.

Serves as Duty Manager outside of regular working hours.

Perform all other related duties as assigned by the General Manager.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS:

Reports directly to the General Manager and indirectly to the Group CEO of CrewsInn Group of Companies.

Interacts regularly with all maintenance, security, restaurant personnel.

Interacts regularly with all departmental managers and supervisors.

Liaises internally with all departments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or related field preferred.

Five (5) years related experience, 3 of which should be at a senior management level.

PERSONALITY:

The incumbent must be results-oriented and be able to use his/her initiative in order to realise departmental and organisational goals and objectives. He/she must be a teamplayer with a positive work ethic and must be able to communicate effectively with persons at all levels (internally and externally).

The incumbent must be well organized and methodical with a keen eye for details. He/she must be assertive, highly disciplined, thorough and self-motivated as well as ready and able to embrace the responsibilities associated with this position.
