FOOD SERVICE MANAGER

FOOD SERVICE MANAGER (Lady Musgrave Road)

 

JOB SUMMARY

The incumbent is responsible for the quality, preparation and service of food and oversees the daily operation of the canteens at all locations. He/she is responsible to lead the teams, ensure compliance with public health requirements, quality standards and services are maintained.

 

Desired Candidate profile:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Service Management, Culinary Management or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar capacity, with a proven track record of catering for large groups.
  • Knowledge of inventory and stock management along  with training in sanitation and hygiene in the food industry.
  • Valid Food Handlers permit
  • Be willing to work long hours when required and sometimes on weekends.

 

 

Key competencies include but are not limited to:

  • Sound knowledge of the preparation, cooking and serving of food in large quantities.
  • Ability to supervise the work of others, prepare reports and possess expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent time management, and team building skills along with well-developed communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain Food Service (Portion control) systems, costing and inventories.
  • Excellent knowledge of Public Health/HAACP Standards.
  • Working knowledge of international standards in culinary management.

 

Purina Nutrition Expert (Lady Musgrave Road)

 

Job Summary

The incumbent is responsible for consumer education and promotion of the benefits of Purina prepared pet food across all channels (grocery and non-grocery).

 

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree/Tertiary level training in Food Science, Food and Nutrition or a related discipline from an accredited institution
  • At least one (1) years’ work experience
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with team members, customers and pet owners at various levels
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills along with strong time management skills
  • Disciplined work ethics, conscientious and a keen eye for detail
  • Proficient with Microsoft office application.
  • Possession of a valid Drivers’ License and/or ownership of a motor vehicle is an asset.

 

Specific Responsibilities;

  • Demonstrating and providing education and information on the Purina line of pet foods
  • Distributing product samples, brochures, flyers etc. to drive sales and source new opportunities.
  • Document and submit reports electronically on each account visited

 

 

Accounts Associate (Bell Road)

 

Reporting to the Accounts Manager the successful candidate should meet the following criteria:-

 

  • Minimum ACCA Level I or AAT level III or equivalent qualification
  • Have at least one year experience in similar position
  • Proficiency in MS suite of applications and Dynamics applications
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Be alert and attentive to details
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality
  • Be willing, and able, to work beyond normal working hours

 

The core functions of this position include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Maintain Accounts Payable Ledger for suppliers ensuring that payments are accurately coded
  • Prepare payments for suppliers, ensuring that payments are made when they become due and suppliers are informed promptly.
  • Maintain files of duplicate cheques and payment documents for ease of retrieval
  • Analyze and reconcile suppliers’ statement with vendor account. Follow up to ensure statements are received on a timely basis.
  • Reconcile Payables Subsidiary Ledger with General Ledger
  • Prepare audit schedules
  • Analyze Accrued Vouchers Account and ensure that outstanding invoices are posted on a timely basis to ensure accuracy of inventory value.
  • Participate in stocktaking exercises
  • Perform other related duties assigned from time to time.
