JOB SUMMARY

The Finance Manager is accountable for consolidating management accounts across the regional group of companies, acting as the single point of accountability for planning and performance data, and supporting business development and M&A activities. This role involves working closely with local teams across multiple countries to harmonize financial processes and identify opportunities for savings and efficiencies.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES

  • Management Accounts Consolidation: Oversee the consolidation of management accounts across the regional group of companies, ensuring accuracy and timely submission to the parent company.
  • Planning and Performance Data: Act as the single point of accountability for planning and performance data, including annual and quarterly financial planning and forecasting. Thoroughly review all statements from Group companies for accuracy and question variances, inconsistencies and significant trends and bring these to the attention of the CEO.
  • Management Information: Prepare and provide management information to support board meetings and executive decision-making.
  • Investment Appraisal: Conduct investment appraisals to support business development initiatives, M&A activities and capital investment proposals.
  • Project Work: Collaborate with local teams across multiple countries on projects such as harmonizing financial processes, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and improving efficiencies.
  • Financial Leadership: Provide financial leadership and analytical support to executives and core accounting teams while maintaining strong internal controls.
  • Strategic Planning: Work with the executive team to develop strategic and operational plans for the business, including long-term financial projections.
  • Budget Management: Drive the annual budget process, ensuring alignment with long-term strategic plans and holding teams accountable for financial performance.
  • Financial Reporting: Create and analyze monthly financial and business operating reports, making recommendations to improve results and presenting reports to executives. Streamline the monthly Financial Management Reporting across all territories.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance of Group companies with appropriate accounting standards and manage relationships with external auditors. Ensure that all Group Financial Policies and Procedures are being adhered to.
  • IT Collaboration: Work with the IT team to establish and maintain electronic data systems and ensure the security and long-term availability of financial data.
  • Cost Management: Provide recommendations for cost management initiatives.
  • Other Duties: Perform any other duties required by the company.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • ACCA certified or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in a similar position within a regional or multinational organization, preferably in the pharmaceutical, healthcare or Consumer Products sectors.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Highly analytical and strategic thinker with the ability to effectively collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong technical capability and hands-on willingness to build complex financial models and conduct detailed data analysis.
  • Ability to draw concise and clear conclusions from complex and detailed data and present results to the leadership team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
