Job Title: Food and Beverage Manager

 

Location: The Inn at English Harbour, Antigua and Barbuda

 

Position Overview:

 

The Inn at English Harbour is seeking an experienced and dynamic Food and Beverage Manager to oversee our culinary operations and elevate the dining experience for our guests. This luxury boutique hotel prides itself on exceptional service, exquisite cuisine, and a unique atmosphere that reflects the beauty of Antigua. The ideal candidate will be a passionate leader with a strong background in fine dining, beverage management, and team development.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

1. Leadership & Management:

- Lead and manage the food and beverage department, ensuring high standards of service and quality.

- Recruit, train, and mentor staff, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging professional growth.

 

2. Operations & Quality Control:

- Oversee daily operations of all food and beverage outlets, including restaurants, bars, and room service.

- Monitor and maintain food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with local regulations and hotel policies.

 

3. Guest Experience:

- Create and implement innovative menus that reflect local flavors and seasonal ingredients.

- Ensure exceptional guest experiences by maintaining high service standards and responding promptly to guest feedback.

 

4. Financial Management:

- Develop and manage the food and beverage budget, optimizing costs while maintaining quality.

- Analyze financial reports to identify areas for improvement and drive profitability.

 

5. Marketing & Promotions:

- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies that enhance the hotel's food and beverage offerings.

- Organize special events, tastings, and themed dining experiences to attract guests and enhance brand visibility.

 

6. Supplier Relations:

- Build and maintain relationships with local suppliers to source high-quality ingredients and products.

- Negotiate contracts and pricing to ensure the best value for the hotel.

 

Qualifications:

 

- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field.

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in food and beverage management, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort setting.

- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.

- Excellent knowledge of food and beverage trends, pairing, and presentation techniques.

- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail.

- Proficiency in financial management and reporting.
