Job Responsibilities
Identification of significant political events and trends at the local, regional, and international level for inclusion in a Government Engagement strategic plan.
Formulation and implementation of approved communication strategies and key initiatives that enhance the Beverage Sector’s image, reputation and brand positioning.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with key external influencers and stakeholders including but not limited to Governments, CARICOM, NGOs such as TTBAA and Community Groups) and proactively managing the company’s external communications on all media platforms.
Managing external communications and company related events and acts as the official contact for media and external entities.
Managing the Company’s website and social media pages inclusive of developing and updating content as well as responses to third party comments and queries raised on those platforms.
Developing and managing the crisis communication plan and provision of key messages and technical advice.
Recommending and executing strategies to enhance the company’s CSR, including sustainable projects, community involvement and support charitable gestures.
Leveraging CSR initiatives to support the Sector’s core business.
Engaging and leveraging key stakeholder groups and 3rd party groups in order to enhance engagement and advocacy opportunities, extend and enhance the Company’s voice, and unify its industry position.
Primary responsibility and oversight for delivery of the Beverage Sector’s ESG agenda.
Performance of other related duties as may be required from time to time.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Communications, Marketing or Social Sciences from a well-recognised, accredited institution. An MBA /Master of Science degree would be an asset.
Working knowledge and experience at a supervisory/managerial in a FMCG environment.
Minimum five (5) years’ progressive experience in policy making and experience in the FMCG Sector.
