Event Stylist/Designer

M Style Objectives

Build and/or procure and maintain inventory of the highest quality and standard in the décor and event rentals industry

 Duties and Responsibilities

  • Directly responsible for assigned Style services. Must ensure immediate contact initiated and maintained throughout life of the project.
  • Hosting or attending style consultations to determine scope of work and direction
  • Producing Style look books (mood boards) and design plans to effectively communicate style plan to all stakeholders
  • Effectively and efficiently generating and managing budgets to clients in keeping with scope.
  • Continuously seek insight into current industry trends to keep M Style innovative and ahead of the pack activities using Search & Spin
  • Ensure all activities are measured and reported against timelines
  • Oversee project plans for assigned projects
  • Prepare weekly/monthly Project Updates as is required
  • Engage and manage team of skilled contracted workers and labourers to achieve project objectives during planning and execution phase
  • Approval and sign off invoices for contractors for payment
  • Oversee style installations at events

Personal Attributes & Qualifications

Essential:

  • A degree/ Certification in Interior Design
  • High levels of creativity; possess a great flair with variety in styles. Pays specific attention to finer details
  • Sound understanding of Project Management principles and practices
  • Computer literate with software applications experience, i.e. Microsoft windows and Office
  • At least two (2) years’ experience in a similar position.

 Desirable:

  • Consistently seeks to improve knowledge and skill set within and outside of business. Search and Spin a primary tool employed in delivering.
  • Stays abreast of industry trends and happenings;
  • Collaborative work style with commitment to delivery and results.
  • Develop Clear ways of working and maximize network of cross functional teamworking

  • Willing to experiment/take calculated risk. Push boundaries, test new ideas and concepts
