Massy Wood is currently recruiting for an Employee Relations Advisor with significant experience in the Oil & Gas industry.

 

Overview / Responsibilites

  • Provides advice and support to key stakeholders on HR policies, procedures and employment legislation, including performance management, capability, discipline and grievance.
  • Provides guidance regarding any issues relating to conditions of employment, salary, benefits and employee relations.
  • Investigates and resolves day-to-day employee relations problems, either directly or through advice to line management.
  • Investigates and advises both management and employees on personnel matters, preparing documentation as required.
  • Updates employee records as required.
  • Proactively case manage complex employee relations issues.
  • Provides guidance and assist with redeployment and restructuring/redundancy projects.
  • Manages the interim and annual performance review process.
  • Conduct Performance and Cultural & Behavioural related Training for all Frontline & Supervisory roles.
  • Undertakes offshore and site visits as required.
  • Undertakes on-call and emergency response duties as and when required.
  • Liaises with Industrial Relations consultant on industrial relations matters and participates in the Trade Dispute Resolution process.
  • Ensures all company policies and procedures are reviewed annually and updated as required
  • Supports and assist all HR projects.
  • Performs all other related job functions as required or assigned by your leadership.

 

Qualifications

Education & Formal Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline from a recognised university
  • Certificate in Industrial Relations or Labor Laws.

Competencies & Experience

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Human Resources and/or Industrial Relations.
  • Knowledge and experience in Industrial Relations.
  • Knowledge of people practices and applicable legislative frameworks.
  • Experience of dealing with industrial and employee relations issues.
  • Seeks ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
  • Ability to make decisions in a timely manner and exhibits sound and accurate judgment
  • Intermediate computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Actively promotes and personally observes safety and security procedures, and uses equipment and materials properly
  • Maintains the highest level of confidentiality and trustworthiness
  • Proficient in Computer Applications including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Valid Certificate of Good Character (must not be older than 6 months).
  • Preference will be given to national citizens or permanent residents of Trinidad & Tobago.
