Nu-Iron Unlimited is seeking qualified persons for the position of Electrical Engineer. The engineer is expected to lead strategies to improve Nu-Iron's power system reliability. In addition, the Engineer will also lead Capital projects that are executed during TARs.

  1. Lead initiatives to upgrade and improve plant power system reliability
  2. Conduct Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) for equipment failures as required
  3. Develop, optimize and maintain maintenance procedures, drawings and other related documents
  4. Assist in development of improved reliability strategies with a view of process safety, yield, capacity and uptime performance
  5. Assist in recovery from plant upsets and emergencies
  6. Review and update preventative/predictive maintenance plans for all equipment
  7. Develop, plan and execute job scopes
  8. Lead the E&I team drive to introduce new technologies, inclusive of AI, to increase plant efficiency
  9. Provide functional and technical leadership for capital projects executions and turnarounds
  10. The engineer will also develop and improve the electrical safe work practices and procedures as well as provide technical training to the team.
  11. Support project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting and control

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering 

Preferred Qualifications

  1. A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering 
  2.  Familiarity with low and medium voltage motors and MCC’s; low, medium and high voltage switchgear; maintenance of power systems and transformers; plant control, communication and automation systems; evaluating fitness for service and specifying of equipment; management of change.
  3. Project Management Certification 
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nu-Iron; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
