Nu-Iron Unlimited (Nu-Iron) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Nucor Corporation in Charlotte, North Carolina. Nucor and affiliates are manufacturers of iron and steel products and Nucor is North America’s largest recycler.

Nu-Iron produces Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) using the Midrex®Direct Reduction Plant and our DRI is currently shipped to five Nucor Divisions in the USA. The DRI is melted and processed into steel. Our company’s performance measures for productivity and profits, pale in comparison to our true measure of success, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP Nu-Iron has ingrained in its culture the understanding of every employee that Safety and the Protection of our Environment is the driving force of our successful operations.
