Overview: Our client is a niche player in the Food & Beverages Distribution sector in Barbados who specialize in promoting products sourced from Europe. With a strong track record of placing brands at Retail outlets they are seeking to add a professional to the team to assist with acquiring new clients and maintaining existing relationships.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Main responsibility is to ensure a smooth sales process by determining what products/services are required and creating solutions for the customer. Also working to find new sales leads through business directories.
• Client referrals, telemarketing and field sales calls, while maintaining existing customer relationships and managing quality and consistency of product and services delivery.
• To assist in delivering exceptional service standards and to maintain a high satisfaction rating for customers in accordance with individual and company set KPIs and goals.
• Creating and executing a strategic sales plan that expands customer base and extends regional reach.
• Making sales appointments to present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients.
• Tracking sales goals, targets & other KPIs and reporting results as necessary.
• Answering or returning phone calls from clients & Answering e-mail inquiries.
• Adjusting content of sales presentations by studying the type customer.
• Using Pipedrive software to record & follow up on new leads and referrals from field activity,
• Preparing proposals and sales contracts or passing these on to your Sales Support to complete.
• Recommending changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
• Keeping management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
• Resolving customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports making recommendations to management.
• Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops etc. as required by management.
• Developing and maintaining sales materials and current product knowledge.
• Monitoring competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules and merchandising techniques.
• Communicating new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.
• Coordinating company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales.
• Developing and implementing special sales activities to reduce stock.
• Following up with each customer after sales have been completed.
• Following up to ensure customers make payments for goods/services provided.
• Participating in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events as required by management.
Requirements
• Proven Sales experience in FMCG sector.
