PURPOSE OF JOB

To be the primary interface with customers of wholesale Petrochemical Products to support timely, reliable and accurate distribution of Petrochemical Products, with remote oversight of the entire supply chain to prevent product loss and support incident recovery.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide and support the central 24-hour X 7-day telephone interface with assigned company operational stakeholders such as dealers, customers, management etc.
  • Support emergency response protocols by engaging and coordinating with incident participants, as instructed.
  • Contribute to the enforcement of loss prevention by carefully monitoring the petrochemical product supply chain and activating triggers as necessary.
  • Collate and report all customer requests for petrochemical product, and plan and coordinate the satisfaction of these requests.
  • Reconcile and communicate Daily Petroleum Product Summary Reports to Finance.
  • Assist with security protocols at assigned company locations through remote monitoring, enabling and reporting.
  • Support the measurement of the effectiveness of the petrochemical product supply chain, through the provision of performance and activity metrics and reports.
  • Recommend assignments of Road Tank Wagons (RTWs) to daily Petrochemical Product requests to create Daily Master Schedule for approval by the line manager.
  • Convert approved Daily Master Schedule into Transport Orders, issuing these to the Transport Providers.
  • Issue confirmation to the customer, of Planned Dispatch of Daily Petrochemical Product to satisfy their order.
  • Communicate with the Petrochemical Product supplier to reserve and agree on loading windows and loading Plan windows to the Dispatcher.
  • Monitor transit of vehicles with Petrochemical Products to ensure vehicles comply with assigned routes and Journey Management guidelines.
  • Communicate with Petrochemical Drivers and the line manager to reconcile and obtain approvals for diversions from assigned routes.
  • Coordinate with Company Loss Prevention personnel, to facilitate spot assessment and verification of petrochemical products on vehicles in the supply chain.

ACADEMIC/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate degree/Diploma in Business Management, or related discipline, such as Communications, Logistics, or Industrial Research.
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the downstream segment of the Petrochemical industry or Logistics industry will be an asset.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
