Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Distribution Centre Manager is responsible for the effective management of the distribution facility to achieve optimum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Major Responsibilities

  • Performs Yearly budget forecast 
  • Conducts Yearly license renewal 
  • Monthly Budget Review 
  • Oversees monthly self-check process audit (World Class Sales) 
  • Conducts quarterly staff reviews and recognition 
  • Conducts weekly safety inspection 
  • Reviews service and operational performance with the sales and operations team weekly
  • Reviews inventory reconciliation daily
  • Reviews delivery effectiveness daily
  • Reviews system daily  
  • Creates and authorizes of spending associated with the distribution centre  
  • Maintains non-structural assets (Truck washing, warehouse cleaning, yard & office maintenance, etc.) 
  • Warehouse best practices Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP)  
  • Protects the integrity of all personnel & products in the warehouse 
  • Minimizes operational cost 
  • Adheres to all company policies and safety requirements for the role as prescribed by the business 
  • Leads the operational objectives for quarterly/monthly stock counts
  • Ensures all roles are adequately filled and covered in the DC (with the support of Human Resource Department)
  • Manages and maintains 3PL relationships to drive productivity, compliance and improved customer service levels
  • Conducts Monthly DC KPI reviews
  • Any other responsibilities as required by the business

  • Working knowledge of MC Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Academic qualifications and experience required for the job:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Logistics, and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field 
  • Minimum 4 years experience in warehousing and distribution management 
  • Strategic planning and forecasting ability 
  • Skilled in operations management, stock control, and budget management
