Responsibilites 

  • Schedule and dispatch drivers to appropriate locations based on client requests or pre-determined schedules.
  • Determine the most efficient routes for each unit and assist with consolidating assignments for seamless and efficient operations.
  • Receive and process client requests and ensure that queries/complaints are addressed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Anticipate complications along routes and at the assigned destinations to communicate delays and route changes as necessary.
  • Identify and report any priority issues/challenges to the Supervisor or any other relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Prepare daily route reports on clients vs. unit’s performance.
  • Periodically audit the status of jobs to ensure the schedule is maintained.
  • Access and update client information as required.
  • Effectively communicate with drivers and the customer service department
  • Handle the pick-up or delivery requests for the entire network
  • Maintain a 99.9% service delivery rate/pick-up rate
  • Maintain a unit log of service interruptions (late start etc.)
  • Determine priorities according to procedures/protocols based on unit availability by liaising with the operations team.
  • Provide units with information on any obstacles that may impact their route
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A Degree in Business Management or a related field/ equivalent work experience
  • Experience in a customer service environment would be an asset.
  • Flexible working hours/ability to work on shift – late nights and weekends.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills to prepare and assign routes.
  • Basic understanding of geographical area and mapping programs to facilitate efficient routing and re-routing.
  • Tech-savvy individual (Microsoft Suite, dispatching software, google maps)
