Discipline Engineer (Civil/Structural)

To participate in the design and review of engineering solutions and initiatives to optimize core operational processes, systems and equipment and realize new engineering opportunities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develops and implements engineering schedules and work plans.
• Provides detailed engineering design in support of projects.
• Support of projects with engineering/screening studies, estimates, equipment specification, vendor/contractor review, commissioning and start-up.
• Participates in the planning, cost development and management, and scheduling for assigned projects.
• Provides specialist engineering diagnostics, troubleshooting and recommendations to ensure availability, address equipment failures, support investigations, and improve equipment strategies and reliability.
• Directs activities to ensure that construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications, recognized codes and standards, and customer requirements.
• Provides engineering reports and technical reviews.
• Maintains engineering standards, specifications, best practices and other key engineering data.
• Executes feasibility studies to increase system outputs and production optimization recommendations.
• Undertakes any other assignments required from time to time, to fulfil the job purpose.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• Professional certification to at least one of the following will be an asset: Certified by the Board of Engineering of Trinidad and Tobago, a Professional Engineer (P.E.) US standard or Chartered Engineer (C.E.) UK standard.

Experience

• A minimum of five (5) years’ relevant experience, with a minimum of two (2) years working experience in the oil and gas industry.
