The Director, Technology Infrastructure & Cloud Operations leads and oversees the strategic direction, design, implementation, and ongoing management of the Bank’s IT infrastructure and cloud operations.

About the Role

The Director, Technology Infrastructure & Cloud Operations leads & oversees the strategic direction, design, implementation, and ongoing management of the Bank’s IT infrastructure and cloud operations. The incumbent drives the performance, scalability, security, and cost-efficiency of the data centre and cloud platforms, end user computing and communications while ensuring the seamless integration of infrastructure systems with business objectives. The Director champions innovation, leads the optimization of operational efficiencies, oversees the Technology’s vendor and budget management, and is key to enabling the Bank’s technology vision and supporting its long-term strategic business objectives.

About Success

• Drives & leads the Bank’s overarching technology infrastructure and cloud strategy, including the design and execution of cloud migration, deployment, and ongoing operations strategies.
• Leads & manages initiatives to streamline processes, enhance service reliability, and mitigate risks and ensuring data privacy.
• Leads & manages vendor management requirements / activities, including negotiations, contract management and performance oversight of service providers and technology partners.
• Leads & drives the development and implementation of disaster recovery plans and incident response strategies.
• Establishes, leads & manages the day-to-day data centres, networks, servers, end user devices and cloud operations.

About You

• 8-10 years of progressive leadership experience in cloud and infrastructure and technology operations, with at least 2-3 years in a senior leadership position.
• Strong technical background in infrastructure engineering, cloud engineering, system architecture, and operations.
• Advanced understanding of banking systems, infrastructure, networks and communications and operations procedures.
• Expert knowledge of systems development, and integration.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on risk mitigation and disaster recovery.
• Ability to stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Advanced knowledge of Information Technology principles, practices and processes.
