Key Responsibilities
π¦· Chairside Assistance: Support dentists during clinical procedures including fillings, extractions, crowns, veneers, implants, and cosmetic treatments.
π¦· Patient Support & Education: Guide patients before, during, and after procedures to ensure they are informed and at ease.
π¦· Infection Control: Maintain a clean and sterile clinical environment according to standard protocols.
π¦· Equipment Sterilization: Disinfect and prepare instruments, trays, and dental units before and after each patient.
π¦· Clinical Setup & Breakdown: Prepare treatment rooms for procedures and assist with post-treatment cleanup.
π¦· Digital Records & Imaging: Take and manage patient x-rays, digital photography, and clinical notes accurately.
π¦· Inventory Management: Monitor and restock dental supplies and materials to ensure clinic readiness.
π¦· Administrative Support: Update patient charts, schedule appointments, and assist with treatment plan coordination.
π¦· Social Media Support: Occasionally assist with content creation and patient engagement for marketing purposes.
π¦· Post-Treatment Follow-Up: Help coordinate aftercare instructions and contact patients to ensure comfort and satisfaction.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Certificate in Dental Assisting, Health Sciences, or related field (formal training is a strong asset)

At least 1 year of experience in a dental or medical setting preferred

Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, sterilization techniques, and infection control procedures
β
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; must be warm, empathetic, and professional

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills

Ability to stay calm under pressure and maintain a high standard of patient care
β
Computer literacy, with familiarity in dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Open Dental, or equivalent)
β

Education Requirements
π High school diploma or equivalent (required)
π Dental Assisting Certification or related health science qualification (preferred)
