We are seeking two highly motivated and skilled Dental Assistants to join our client team, one for a full-time position and the other for part-time.

Position Overview:

We are seeking two highly motivated and skilled Dental Assistants to join our client team, one for a full-time position and the other for part-time. The ideal candidates will assist in providing excellent patient care, ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office, and supporting the dental team in a variety of clinical and administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Duties:

  • Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, including but not limited to orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, periodontics, and oral surgery.
  • Take X-rays, radiographs, and impressions of patients' teeth for study casts (models of teeth).
  • Perform dental cleanings and other preventive treatments.
  • Measure and record patient’s blood pressure, pulse, and medical history.
  • Sterilize instruments and equipment, ensuring adherence to infection control protocols.
  • Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatments.
  • Provide patients with post-treatment care instructions (e.g., after fillings, surgery).
  • Teach patients proper oral hygiene techniques, including tooth brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling.
  • Assist in checking orthodontic appliances such as braces and retainers.

Administrative and Office Duties:

  • Greet patients and visitors in a warm and welcoming manner.
  • Manage the front desk, handle incoming calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update necessary forms.
  • Ensure efficient scheduling of appointments, reducing wait times for patients.
  • Assist with billing, ordering supplies, and other office management tasks.
  • Perform general bookkeeping and accounting tasks related to office procedures.
  • Communicate with patients and suppliers regarding appointments, billing, and supplies.

 

Qualifications & Criteria:

  • GCE O-Level passes (including Math and English).
  • Dental Hygiene Certificate or Dental Assistant Certification is an asset.
  • 2-3 years of experience as a Dental Assistant or Dental Surgery Assistant.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with excellent telephone etiquette.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic office management tasks.
  • Knowledge of infection control and sterilization procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
