Job Summary: The Customer Service Ambassador/Heavy-T Driver will play a critical role in ensuring exceptional service for our customers. This role will involve managing safe and efficient cargo delivery while meeting the outlined delivery targets. Responsibilities include engaging with customers and providing product information and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safe Driving and Delivery: Operate heavy trucks in compliance with all safety regulations, ensuring the careful and timely delivery of cargo to designated locations.
  • Delivery Targets: Meet delivery schedules and targets outlined by the Sales and Logistics Manager while prioritizing the safety of both the cargo and the public.
  • Customer Engagement: Serve as a friendly point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries and providing product information to enhance their experience while advising customers on merchandise selection.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain an extensive understanding of products and services to provide accurate information and recommendations to customers on current promotions, sales, and customer loyalty programs.
  • Problem Resolution: Proactively resolve any delivery-related issues, resolve customer issues or complaints promptly and effectively, escalating when necessary, ensuring customer satisfaction and timely communication.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct regular vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs to ensure safe operation.

Requirements:

  • Three (3) CXC O’ level passes, including Mathematics and English.
  • Class 4 (Heavy-T) License
  • Defensive driving certificate is considered an advantage.
  • 3-4 years’ proven Heavy-T driving experience.
  • Strong retail operations understanding and ability to think critically and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality record.
