Tractor Sales Specialist

TRACTOR SALES SPECIALIST

Job Purpose

The incumbent is primarily responsible for marketing and selling our range of agricultural tractors to farmers, agricultural businesses, and other related clients. This position reports to the Division Manager - Agri, Lawn & Garden.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops a thorough understanding of all agricultural tractors and equipment offered by the company.
  • Identifies potential customers through research, networking, field visits, and cold-calling.
  • Conducts product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the functionality and benefits of the tractors.
  • Assesses customer requirements and provides appropriate solutions or alternatives that meet their needs.
  • Provides accurate quotations, financing planning and options, negotiates, closes the sale, and conducts registration and delivery.
  • Ensures that the Sales pipeline is updated as soon as quotes are completed.
  • Offers after-sales support, including product servicing, troubleshooting, and handling customer queries.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, products, and competitors.
  • Creates and maintains an equipment database of all tractor equipment inclusive of competitor’s equipment existing at all customers.
  • Collaborates with the ALG team members to achieve sales targets and objectives.
  • Manages customer relationships through regular follow-up and communication.
  • Documents sales activities, generates reports, and maintains customer information in the CRM system.
  • Demonstrates active adherence to all relevant Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures, while also promoting HSE awareness.
  • Any other related responsibilities assigned by Management.

Academic Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business, or a related field.
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar capacity with proven Sales experience, preferably in agricultural equipment or machinery.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft suite of products.
  • Local travel requires that the candidate owns a reliable vehicle and uses same for customer site visits as required.
  • A valid Driver’s permit.
