Credit Officer

The Credit Officer is responsible for the application of payments, credits, and reconciliation of customer accounts, monthly updating of assigned audit schedules and maintaining an up-to-date filing system.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Timely application of customers payments and credit notes for approved spoilage, write-offs, and crate returns
• Assist with reconciliation and the preparation of monthly reports
• Prepare and update assigned audit schedules and assist in the audit preparation process as needed
• Assist with stock counts
• Post dairy transfers to the system
• Check and verify customer returns
• Assist with follow-up for vendor statements to facilitate timely reconciliations
• Maintain an up to date filing system
• Perform any other related duties assigned

Education/Training & Experience

• Associate degree/Pursuing Degree in Accounting/Management Studies
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Solid data entry skills with the ability to identify numerical errors
• A minimum of 2 years working experience in an office environment
