The Business and Employment Centre is hiring a results-driven Country Manager for our client in Barbados. The role focuses on profitability, market growth, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspire and lead a results-oriented team by promoting accountability, collaboration, and ongoing improvement.
  • Support professional development through mentorship, coaching, and constructive feedback to enhance overall team performance.
  • Foster a positive and engaging workplace culture to boost employee satisfaction, productivity, and retention.
  • Implement strategic plans, identify growth opportunities, and establish partnerships that drive business expansion.
  • Analyse market trends and conduct thorough research to support data-driven decision-making and maintain a competitive advantage in the Barbadian environment.
  • Define performance objectives, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and regularly present progress reports to the Board of Directors.
  • Develop and sustain strong relationships with clients, partners, industry stakeholders, and government entities in Barbados.
  • Act as a primary representative at industry events while ensuring client needs are addressed and concerns resolved effectively.
  • Achieve financial objectives by meeting revenue targets and overseeing comprehensive profit and loss (P&L) operations.
  • Guide financial planning and analytics to support critical decision-making and maximize profitability.
  • Establish and refine operational policies, procedures, and systems to enhance efficiency and workflow optimization.
  • Ensure full compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements across all business operations.
  • Partner with the Sales Manager and leadership team to devise impactful sales strategies, secure high-value customers, and strengthen key account relationships.



Knowledge

  • Comprehensive understanding of business administration, management principles, and industry best practices.
  • Advanced knowledge of strategic planning, market analysis, and financial management.
  • Familiarity with Barbadian regulations, compliance standards, and operational policies.

Skills

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and performance monitoring.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Proactive and results-oriented with a focus on driving business growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (MBA or postgraduate degree is an asset).

  • Demonstrated success in driving business growth, achieving revenue targets, and expanding market share.
