Coordination and supervision on site for the installation and erection of mechanical equipment’s according with the project and mechanical contractor assigned,

Objective

 Coordination and supervision on site for the installation and erection of mechanical equipment’s according with the project and mechanical contractor assigned, tracking and reporting of all activities according with master schedule program, coordination and reporting of all activities to the construction manager on site, with the different supervisors of the company ( civil, electrical and health & safety) technical meetings internally and with the contractor on site for clarification and revision of priorities and schedule program, coordination on site for technical services of main and auxiliary equipment’s, administration and accomplishment of the main goals quality cost and time  of the project, following specifications and standards according with the local or international norms, and according with the engineering design, vendors documentation and manuals.

 

Responsibility:

  • Involvement and collaboration with construction manager on site, electrical, civil and health & safety supervisors to accomplish all the goals and activities according with the project schedule program, tracking and planning all human resources, technical clarifications. equipment’s and materials from contractor on site, following and controlling quality time and cost of the project assigned.
  • Detect and inform on time any delay caused by interferences, wrong design, equipment’s defects, deficiencies lack of men power or lack of performance of the contractor on site.
  • Supervision and leadership and teamworking with all disciplines and contractor on site, application of all norms and standards and good practices in health and safety to keep or to reduce to zero all accidents, as well to take care of all environments around the project according with international standards and norms.
  • Keeping on track the accomplishment of quality management system for all mechanical works on site writing, recording all mounting steps following all protocols required for manufacturing and installation checking certificates for materials and vendors, tracking and recording all protocols according with engineering design drawings and vendors specifications
  • Promoting collaboration practices and teamwork skills with all project team members to solve situations and problems acting in a responsible way
  • Collaboration with engineering design department to solve any problem on time informing and asking authorization in case major changes required on site
  • Documentation in a record or logbook with the contractor on site all agreements and actions taken on site.
  • Involving and full collaboration with the construction manager and all supervisors on site to plan and develop all activities during the complete project, detecting on time any deviation affecting the project and giving solutions to minimize effects in the project termination.
  • Controlling and tracking contractor and company resources checking on time contractor progress reports avoiding economic problems for delays in documents revisions to finalize the project in a good way time quality and cost.
  • Inform and record in a official communication way (Logbook, official letters and official emails) all important activities, decisions and delays during project execution.
  • Keeping on track all extraordinary cost not considered in the project budget and informing on time.
  • Official communication documents regarding with additional works required previously requested and in a previous agreement for the competent department from Our company
  • Be part of the training programs during Our participation in the project’s execution.
  • Modify the engineering documents on the site, as well as add the modifications that are seen on the site
  • Modify the engineering documents on the site, as well as add the modifications that are seen on the site, due to missing information or due to equipment modification. All this information needs to be shared with the engineering design department as part of as built documentation.
  • Maintain all company equipment and tools under your responsibility in good condition, such as (cars, laptops, cell phones, etc.) used as part of the tools during the execution of the project.
  • In case of any safety risk the supervisor on site must stop the risk activity at once and inform immediately the safety supervisor on site and both implement the best solution to eliminate the risk and inform in writing form the event.
  • According with the task and goals in order to accomplish the schedule for the project termination and always with coordination and collaboration with the construction manager and company supervisors on site the mechanical supervisor can take all actions required in order to have a good performance and execution according with the company requirements, is responsibility also to inform all people involve in case any deviation detected during project execution all this information and action need to be record in the project logbook or by official correspondence
  • The mechanical supervisor must take all necessary actions to develop good relationships with team members, in case a bad attitude is detected.
  • All team members must inform the construction manager on site before taking any important decision.

 

Required Education/Expertise/Skills:

  • Minimum an Associate degree in mechanical, electromechanical or similar.
  • Ability to work in a team (internal and external).
  • Leadership.
  • Presentations skills.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Proactive.
  • Effective communication.
  • General knowledge regarding Health and Safety in industrial environments
  • Availability to work.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D modeling.

 

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar projects (Cement, mining and petrochemical). 
  • Pneumatic and Hydraulic experience.
  • Engineering design drawings interpretations and vendor manuals.
  • Experience in industrial equipment assembly.
