Maintenance Supervisor ( Retail Operations)

We are seeking an individual that possesses strong technical and leadership expertise, to join our Repairs and Maintenance department in the role of Maintenance Supervisor for our Retail Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment, facilities, machines, and tools to ensure they are safe, reliable, and efficient.
• Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and assign duties to maintenance technicians.
• Evaluate the performance of maintenance technicians, identify areas for improvement, and provide feedback to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Develop and implement maintenance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
• Manage spare parts inventory, vendor contracts, and supplier relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective replacement of parts and equipment.
• Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance.
• Recruit, supervise and train maintenance technicians.
• Contribute to the development of maintenance budget and ensure compliance.

Physical Demands:

• Working a six-day workweek.
• Working long, extended hours, including weekend and public holidays.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Certificate/Diploma in Supervisory Management.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and coach team members to achieve performance goals.
• Demonstrated technical expertise in maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment, machinery, and facilities.
• Strong technical knowledge of all building systems (electrical, heating, refrigeration etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Keen attention to details and the ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently.
• Owns a reliable motor vehicle

Experience in a restaurant or manufacturing environment will be a distinct advantage.
