Commercial Sales Officer


Job Scope:
As the Commercial Officer (Sales) the incumbent will represent the client in Route to market strategy, sales activities, distribution, and promotions. The Commercial Officer will also be responsible for following the commercial activity and organizing better distributions while identifying areas of the organization that can be developed and expanded to produce further business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for profits and sales throughout the assigned territory as well as customer portfolio increasement;
  • Supervise and execute the proper placement of promotional items (posters, merchandising);
  • Verify that products arrive without inconvenience and within the expiration dates;
  • Responsible of achieving sales objectives and goals set in the assigned territory;
  • Participate in events, fairs, and other activities that aim to increase brand exposure;
  • Manage product orders weekly and monthly with the exports team;
  • Elaborate sales visit plan and supervise salesmen's activities;
  • Provide support and supervise imports from Dominican Republic to Jamaica to final customers;
  • Coordinate the distribution process with the operations team and supervise routes;
  • Execute promotional and merchandising activity plan for salesmen.


Responsibilities

  • University Degree (Accounting and Finance);
  • Minimum two (2) years of commercial sales experience in consumer companies;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Office, Excel, BI);
  • Knowledge and proven experience in sales direction and distribution processes;
  • Experience in a leadership position, managing employees in sales and distribution;
  • Proven track record of closing negotiations and generating effective sales;
  • Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment and Control (IPERC). Identification of Significant Environmental Aspects;
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish is desirable but not required;
  • Ability to travel outside of the country at times (mainly for training period).
