The ideal candidates will possess the knowledge and skills required to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities as detailed below.
Job Summary
The role of the Client Relations Associate is dedicated to delivering exceptional client service across our range of investment products and client groups. This requires a strong grasp of the company’s investment offerings as well as investments generally, and a passion to help our investors achieve their long-term goals. The role also covers onboarding new clients to meet regulatory requirements simply and efficiently.
Summary of Key Accountabilities
- Field client enquiries in person, by telephone, email and/or social media in a professional and friendly manner, enlisting support of other team members as necessary.
- Communicate with clients to explain the risks and opportunities related to our investment products, and investments generally, in a simple and complete way.
- Prepare and maintain materials and other resources to enhance firm-wide client service.
- Make periodic presentations to group pension plan participants.
- Open client accounts by recording account information and efficiently satisfying all regulatory and risk management requirements.
- Maintain accurate and complete records by regularly updating client information.
- Prepare direct client correspondence and reporting as necessary; periodically assist investment team with preparation of portfolio and quarterly reports.
- Prepare product and service reports by collecting and analysing account activity and other internal information.
- Contribute to our overall mission of providing great products and great service to all our clients.
Requirements
- University Degree, Associate Degree or equivalent.
- Clear communicator with a friendly, professional manner and a genuine desire to deliver excellent service.
- Self-motivated, interested in continuous learning and innovation.
- Prior completion of Barbados Mutual Funds Course, Canadian Securities Course, Codes & Practices Handbook or similar investment-related courses would be an asset.
- The ability to work unsupervised and in a team setting.
- Well organized with the ability to produce and share relevant, accurate reports.
