Claims Unit Leader

The incumbent will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to stakeholders and customers, assisting with the timely resolution of claim settlements, recovery of the company’s outlay and ensuring that a complete and accurate evaluation is done of all matters in adherence to company standards. The incumbent will also assist with the authorizing of claims, ensuring process efficiency and enhancing service quality.

Our ideal candidate is a dynamic and organized individual, with strong leadership, communication and negotiation skills and a positive attitude.

At minimum, applicants should possess the following:

• First Degree in Business Management or related field or pursuing or attained ACII
• At least five (5) years’ experience in General Insurance environment

• Diploma or Certification in Insurance is an asset
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities and techniques
• Excellent time management and the ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines
• Sound negotiating and decision-making skills
• Ability to work in a high-pressure environment

• Sound knowledge of general insurance Claims Management
• Knowledge of Underwriting practices and principles

• Ability to work as part of a team or individually
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite [EXCEL, Word, PowerPoint etc.]
