An experienced COO to lead operations, drive efficiency, and foster growth. Must have executive-level expertise, strong leadership skills, and the ability to analyze data, create metrics, and implement strategies to enhance market share and productivity. Industry experience required.

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The COO will lead our team of high-performing professionals to be efficient, productive, and effective. The ideal candidate has extensive experience within our industry, preferably having worked their way up to an executive role. We believe this trajectory helps a person develop a unique mix of business and management expertise, plus proficiency with the practices, policies, and procedures of our industry. This candidate will have strong to expert leadership skills and the ability to create and present key metrics based on all data existing within the organization, to pivot its market share and growth

 

            DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  1. Translate strategy into actionable steps for growth, implementing organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operations planning
  2. Oversee company operations and employee productivity, building a highly inclusive culture that ensures team members can thrive and that organizational goals are met
  3. Ensure effective recruiting, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and retention
  4. Ensure compliance with national and local business regulations, and take appropriate action when necessary
  5. Analyse internal operations and identify areas for process enhancement
  6. Implement business strategies and plans that align with the short- and long-term objectives developed in tandem with executive directors strategic objectives and plans
  7. Oversee operations, HR, and accounting, and partner with CFO in sales management so that sufficient investment capital can be budgeted for near-term growth targets
  8. Manage capital investments and expenses aggressively to ensure that the company achieves investor targets for growth and profitability
  9. Monitor performance with tracking software and take corrective measures when necessary, and prepare detailed updates and forecasts
  10. Build and maintain trusting relationships with key customers, clients, partners, and stakeholders

Education and Experience Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s and/ or Master’s Degree in Operations Management, Project Management, Business Management, Leadership and Entrepreneurship or other area of concentration which is relevant to the role as described above
  2. 10+ years’ experience in a high level management role; Experience should include oversight in comparable industry and organizational size
  3. Excellent leadership ability with steadfast resolve and personal integrity
  4. Solid Grasp of data analytics and performance metrics
  5. Ability to design and implement strategies that can lead to planned growth and development
