Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)

SUMMARY

The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) is responsible for overseeing, monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on the Bank’s information and data security strategies. This role involves developing and implementing security policies, procedures, and programs to protect the Bank's digital assets.

The CISO leads the effort in identifying, assessing, and mitigating information security risks to ensure information confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CISO promotes security awareness and training across the Bank, ensuring all employees understand their role in maintaining security and protecting sensitive information.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the Bank’s data and cyber security strategy.
  • Create and implement programs, plans, and budgets with initiatives to secure the Bank’s cyber and technology assets.
  • Create and update security standards, rules, and practices to safeguard the company's information assets.
  • Develop processes and implement training with key internal stakeholders to ensure    greater awareness of policies and procedures regarding information security and breaches in information security. 
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all information and cyber security policies and protocols.
  • Lead cybersecurity operations and implement disaster recovery protocols and business continuity plans with business resilience in mind.
  • Oversee the information security team, including personnel recruitment, training, and mentoring.
  • Lead, train, coach, and mentor staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture, consistent with the vision and values of the organization. 
  • Adherence to banking regulations, GDPR, HIPAA and other related laws.
  • Responsible for risk assessments, penetration testing, security breach handling and mitigation strategies.
  • Keep up to date with the newest security issues, risks, and best practices; suggest suitable security products and technology.
  • Represent the Bank’s security interests before outside suppliers, partners, and regulatory agencies.
  • Assist with periodic audits and reviews of the Bank’s security systems to determine how well they work and pinpoint areas for improvement. 
  • Design reporting and monitoring mechanisms to ensure accountability and timely reporting to the Board, Board Risk Committee, and the Managing Director.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Computer Engineering, or Computer Forensics.
  • Certifications in CISSP, CISM and CRISC. 
  • Technical responsibilities including firewalls, encryption tools and network security measures.
  • Over 5 years of experience in a related field.
