Job Title: Chief Executive Officer – Trinidad & Tobago

 

 

Primary objective of the job:

 

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to drive the organization’s growth and profitability. This involves developing and executing a clear vision, enhancing customer satisfaction, fostering innovation and technology adoption, adhering and driving compliance while accelerating growth and delivering cash in a cost containment manner and building strong stakeholder relationships.

 

Ultimately, the CEO aims to position the company as a market leader by balancing operational efficiency with financial performance and delivering high-quality services to customers.

 

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

 

 

Strategic Planning

  • Setting the overall vision and strategic direction of the company, including identifying market opportunities, competitive positioning, and long-term goals.

Operational Oversight

  • Ensuring efficient day-to-day operations, overseeing all departments, and ensuring that business objectives are met.

Financial Management

  • Managing the company's financial health, including budgeting, forecasting, and securing funding for growth initiatives.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Navigating the complex regulatory environment specific to the telecoms industry, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.

Technology

  • Staying abreast of technological advancements and driving innovation to maintain competitiveness and improve services.

Customer Focus

  • Enhancing customer experience by understanding customer needs and leading initiatives to improve service delivery and satisfaction.

Talent Management

  • Leading human resources strategies, including recruitment, training, and retention of key talent to build a skilled workforce.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, including government entities, and partners, to foster collaboration and support.

Risk Management

  • Identifying potential risks to the business and developing strategies to mitigate them, particularly in areas like cybersecurity and market competition.

Sustainability Initiatives

  • Leading efforts to adopt sustainable practices within the company and contribute to environmental and social governance (ESG) goals.

 

 

Academic Qualifications and Experience Required:

 

 

  • A Master’s Degree in Management, Marketing, Finance, Economics or any other business related field. The equivalent of the same in working experience is also acceptable for the position. 
  • Possesses 10 years of experience working in a senior role, within a fast-paced and highly competitive environment. The candidate must also have had substantial and successful experience leading a company towards the achievement of business KPI’s
  • A suitable candidate will demonstrate strategic vision, leadership, and a hands-on approach to drive business success in a dynamic and competitive landscape.

 

 

Functional Skills:

 

  • Have polished presentation, communication, and analytical skills
  • Have an adaptive style in being able to communicate often technical ideas in simple terms
  • Have strong organizational skills, being able to manage multiple projects at once
