LIAT (2020) Limited is seeking a strategic and results-driven Chief Commercial Officer. You will have a significant impact on shaping and leading the company’s strategy for Sales & Marketing.

COMMERCIAL STRATEGY:
• Develop and implement the sales and marketing policies, strategies, and procedures in line with company standards and industry
   best practices.
• Manage the budget preparation process to ensure the sales and revenue opportunities are maximized.
• Effectively schedule aircraft fleet at designated Hubs and layover Airports
• Identify regional and international market behavior, consumer trends and potential for future growth.
• Responsible for Global Sales, Call Centre, GSA & PSA Structures, Strategic pricing, Loyalty Program, Distribution processes &   
   Payments, Commercial systems, and Digital retail
• Accountability for the strategic direction of the Corporate/ Trade and Leisure sales in the network and efining the optimal way to
   increase sales by recommendations for routes, timings, aircraft type and other product development.
• Provide and oversee overall leadership on a strategic and commercial level for sales and other activities within the Airline network.
• Develop and deliver revenue, maximize returns, identify, and penetrate new markets, where appropriate.
• Formulate and implement the sales strategy, including local corporate sales policy, to maximize short and long-term revenue 
   opportunities, reduce cost of sale and generate channel shift where appropriate.

LEADERSHIP & COACHING:
• Guide, train, coach, and review performances and immediately address any shortcomings to derive an effective, high-performance
   sales team.
• Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs. Monitor performance data and). Set up call plans, daily, weekly & monthly reporting   
   mechanisms to ensure that appropriate selling skills are suitably employed.
• Lead and direct the team to deliver corporate and commercial objectives and in such a way as to enhance employee motivation 
  and satisfaction.
• Oversee and supervise employees including directing daily activities, recruitment, training, development, and discipline to ensure       high standard of service delivery.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT:
• Take the lead in setting up airline sales offices across the network, and any other tasks that may be  assigned by the Business.
• Manage and maintain relationships with other Airlines, Tour & Travel Agents, Government bodies and
   corporate companies.

BRAND AWARENESS:
• Establish and strengthens the image of the company’s brand through advertising and public relations,
   in conjunction with Corporate Communications
• Oversee airport operations to satisfy customer experience, secure customer loyalty and meet the
   safety and profitability goals of the company.
• Ensures that the customer experience is delivered in accordance with excellent customer service  
   standards established by the company.

Required Core Competencies, Experience, and qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Business Admin, Economics, Finance, or a closely related field
• Professional Certification in Marketing, MBA or a relevant master’s degree with concentration in
   Strategy or Marketing preferred.
• Extensive 5+ years of airline experience at Management level in, Sales, Marketing, Business
   development, Revenue Management, Network planning and Pricing
• Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing commercial strategies and driving
    process improvements.
• Excellent working knowledge of:

  • Interline services, IATA airline practices, airline passenger sales,marketing.
  • Net, tour operating, and published fare contracts.
  • Airline accounting practices and/or managing large revenue or cost budgets; Cost leadership and return on investment in all activations.
  • Airline Ground operations and Cargo Handling Operations
  • Reservations and ticketing
  • Customer Relationship Management (B2B and B2C) and Scheduling software
  • Third Party Vendor Management
  • Pricing structures and yield management
  • Safety, Reliability and Quality Assurance
  • Network planning; loyalty programs management; digital marketing techniques and technology-based product distribution systems, sales channels and setting up a Call Centre.
  • Strategic thinker with a strong eye for detail and a results-oriented mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple start-up stations across the target airline network with the ability to negotiate effectively at all levels.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple activities, including travel agency, GSA, tour operator, OTA relationships, office set-up, establishing contracts, recruitment of staff, building-up sales channels, and preparing for inaugural events.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to navigate through ambiguity.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Flexibility to travel as needed.
  • Commitment to the pursuance of continued learning.
