Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the Channel Manager – Traditional Trade is responsible for the execution of all Traditional Trade, channel-specific activities for PCJ and Red Stripe portfolio.

Major Responsibilities  

  • Adheres to the requirements of the HERCULES process 
  • Delivers distribution, volumes, and cost per case objectives for the assigned region monthly and annually. 
  • Performs customer visits as per the requirements of the Hercules process to maintain excellent customer relationship management 
  • Establishes and manage strong and effective relationships with all external and internal stakeholders to successfully drive growth and profitability 
  • The Channel Manager is responsible for transparent communications from line Managers and clear dissemination of information downwards for effective maintenance of policies by Supervisors and PSE’s 
  • Supports and leads Commercial Team Leaders and Pre-Sales Executives to resolve customer issues and concerns 
  • Ensures that the designed promotions for the parent companies are planned and executed to standard within timelines and budget 
  • Works closely with the Distribution Centre team to deliver premium service to customers within timelines and budget 
  • Effectively handle monthly collections and reduction of Aged Debt 
  • Manages staff training and the day-to-day activities of Commercial Team Leaders and PSEs with close interaction with Sales Analyst 
  • Analyzes data, prepare and present Volume, Distribution coverage and Sales Effectiveness reports 
  • Develops and institutes Safety Management Principles, including ensuring the sales team is in full compliance with all documents and motor vehicles. 
  • Adheres to the safety regulations for the role as prescribed by the business and comply with all company policies.

 

Academic qualifications and experience required for the job: 

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field. MBA favorable 
  • A minimum of Five (5) years of work experience in a Sales role, preferably Field Sales with 2 years in a senior sales role 
  • Own or have full access to a reliable Motor Vehicle 
  • Have a valid Driver’s License
