Cashier

The cashier is responsible for both cash and non-cash transactions with respect to the company’s customers.

JOB DUTIES

• Enter all receipts to system daily (Charge and Cash customers).  Immediately informing payables and supervisor/manager of any anomalies.

• Balance cashier receipts and prepare Cashier’s Summary report daily.
1. Balance cheques, cash, petty cash, and IOU’s with summary sheet at the end of the day.
2. Prepare and forward collections with completed cashier sheets to Payables for banking. 
3. Week-end and evening collections to be safely secured in cashier’s vault.
4. All Shortages and Overages must be clearly identified and recorded on prescribed cashier-sheets.
5. Ensure copies of receipts issued to customers by drivers and corresponding dispatch sheets match.  Anomalies to be reported immediately. 

• Input of delivery notes in proof of delivery module in SYSPRO daily and prepare Departure Schedule.
1. Departure schedule to be forwarded to Inventory Accounting Supervisor along with DN’s at end of each workday.
2. Weekly update to be given to Stationery Supervisor with clear explanation all outstanding DN’s.

• Report all ANOMALIES IMMEDIATELY to your supervisor. 

• Performing any other duties that the Director / Manager may assign from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• A minimum of five (5) CXC O’ Level passes inclusive of Mathematics and English.
• At least one year experience in a similar capacity
• Certificate of good character
