Cashier

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cashier to manage and secure company funds, ensuring accurate and efficient financial transaction.

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Receive payments by cash, cheques, credit cards, debit cards, direct deposit and Guardsman pick-up lodgment as presented through the credit department.
  • Ensure the accurate posting of receipts for amounts collected in customers ‘accounts.
  • Ensure the accurate preparation of receipt for funds received from approved sources.
  • Record all amounts collected on collection sheets.
  • Prepare lodgment for deposit to bank on a daily basis.
  • Ensure the security of funds collected by security of work area and timely vault deposit.
  • Updating payments in customers’ account on a daily basis (entering of receipts).
  • Ensure disbursement and reimbursement of Petty Cash.
  • Selling of Lunch Tickets.
  • Settlement of the Commissary returns from sales against invoices.

 MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Associate Degree in Business/ Certificate in Accounting (CAT).
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and best practices.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, COMPETENCES

  • Computer Literacy, Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Good Time Management and Organizational Skills.
