Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Group Treasury Operations team in the capacity of:
Business Support Associate - Sigma (Contract)
Provide support to the Client Relationship Officers in all branches in the processing of subscriptions to Sigma Global Unit Trust.
Process retail client deposits, including RTGS transfers, ACH transfers, incoming wires, new account deposits and Sigma Gift Certificate deposits.
Location: Kingston
As a Business Support Associate, you will:
- Process incoming RTGS, wire transfers and ACH transfers within the stipulated timeframe following the deposit in the bank account.
- Process ACH transfers upon receipt of originator verification from Sagicor Bank Proof department.
- Process incoming transfers from transact and Centralized Business Support department within the stipulated timeframe following the deposit in the bank account.
- Process deposits for new Sigma accounts upon receipt of notification from Wealth Advisors or Client Relationship Officers
- Process Sigma gift certificate subscriptions and general ledger entries following the deposit in the bank account.
- Follow-up with Wealth Advisors/ Client Relationship Officers for outstanding fund allocation instructions from clients.
- Assist the Financial Control team with the clearing of reconciliation items from the bank account.
- Perform other related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
- Minimum of an Associate Degree in Finance, Management Studies, or equivalent qualification from a recognized tertiary institution.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ working experience in investment banking.
- At least two (2) years’ working experience in an operational position.
- Completion of the Jamaica Central Securities Depository (JCSD) Course.
- Proficiency in the use of computer software packages including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of Unit Trust functions would be an asset.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative.
