Sagicor Bank Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our SME Business Banking team in the capacity of:

 Business Banking Officer

 Retain and continuously improve relationships with SME Business Banking clients, thus contributing to the strategic priorities of improved Client experience and Revenue Growth.

Location: Kingston

As a Business Banking Officer, you will:

• Effectively support the Business Bankers with their assigned portfolio of accounts.
• Participate in all aspects of portfolio credit management including, but not limited to:
  • Preparing Temporary Accommodation Requests (TARS).
  • Extending expired credits.
  • Conducting annual reviews of Credits.
  • Assisting with the compilation of documentations required in the origination/ booking of deals.
  • Managing Overdraft Excesses.
  • Managing Past Due Facilities.
  • Managing Watch listed accounts.
• Assist in the correction of "out of order" collateral security and other required documentation and data integrity errors.
• Assist with the opening of accounts.
• Assist with Business Credit Card applications and submissions.
• Provide support to Business Bankers with retention, growth and client acquisition activities.
• Act as a contact for new and existing clients’ lending and non-lending needs, coordinating sales and fulfilment with product and service specialists.
• Personally, demonstrate commitment to cross sell group-wide services and expertise through referrals.
• Perform any other duties assigned from time to time.

What do you need?

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Banking or related discipline from a recognized tertiary institution.
• Minimum of two (2) years’ working experience in a Financial Institution.
• Sales and service orientation.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer relations skills.
• Ability to cross sell and negotiate successfully with clients.
• Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure.
• Ability to plan and manage time efficiently and effectively.
• Strong communication skills.
