BUSINESS ACCOUNT MANAGER – JOB DESCRIPTION

 

JOB SUMMARY:

The Business Account Manager (BAM) is accountable and responsible for executing sales strategies for Information and Communications Technologies within their customer base. The function of the BAM is to ensure continued growth and success in the industry by conveying an image of quality, integrity, and superior customer service; through the understanding and delivery of customer needs, strong relationships, and positioning of the entire range of products and services offered.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Responsible for the independent daily management of assigned accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Identify key stakeholders and business drivers within assigned accounts.
  • Identify and introduce new products to the market.
  • Respond to requests for information, quotations, and proposals.
  • Assist with conducting market analysis and benchmarking studies.
  • Provide pre-sales and post-sales support to clients and customers.
  • Work to ensure end-to-end customer satisfaction to drive new revenue growth and retain existing revenue from all assigned accounts.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets and objectives quotas.
  • Understand the budgeting and acquisition processes within assigned accounts.
  • Create comprehensive account plans and tactics to win new business from existing and new accounts.
  • Operating as the lead point of contact for all matters specific to your accounts
  • Effectively present and discuss the products and services of the company to both existing and prospective customers.
  • Acknowledge customers/client’s queries, concerns, and requests – through meetings, phone calls, texts, WhatsApp, and use of Zoho Desk
  • Handling customer complaints and resolving the issue as necessary or escalating to the appropriate channel should the need arise.
  • Logging and updating of leads and opportunities within the CRM application to ensure accurate pipeline and order tracking.
  • Maintains and manages a healthy debt-to-purchase ratio for assigned accounts, through monitoring usage against credit limit and payment against the specified credit terms, and the collections of outstanding balances.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

 

  • Two (2) years or more of B2B sales experience in the ICT industry
  • Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited university, preferably in Sales & Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong computer and Microsoft Office skills
