Brand Manager

Roles & Responsibilities 

  • Build brand recognition by conceptualising new and innovative marketing strategies that are aligned with the company’s overall brand strategy
  • Work closely with the sales team to identify customer needs and develop programs that drive sales growth
  • Manage budgets for trade marketing initiatives and track return on investment to ensure efficient use of resources
  • Develop and implement appropriate strategies by selecting, segmenting and targeting markets
  • Advise retail outlets of in-store solutions and promotions
  • Monitor product distribution and consumer reaction
  • Participate in trade fairs, conferences and symposiums whenever necessary
  • Monitor the performance of products in the marketplace
  • Coach and motivate sales personnel to achieve objectives
  • Undertake marketing audits to monitor sales performance
  • Monitor market trends, pricing, competitive activities to identify key issues or opportunities and make recommendations to ensure competitiveness
  • In collaboration with the Sales Manager, prepare and lead activities for the successful execution of visits by overseas suppliers
  • In collaboration with the Sales and Merchandising team, ensure that products are available and properly represented on the shelves
  • Introduce new product launches to retail outlets
  • Report on budget support expenditure and adhere to budget given
  • Plan, execute, measure and report on performance of all marketing campaigns, and assess against goals
  • Identify strategic business opportunities to expand current product portfolio
  • Create social media content, monitor and update social media pages and company website
  • Supervise promoters promoting products during in store promotions or other events
  • Be willing to actively participate in trade across the island representing all brands. 

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Candidate must have at least a first degree in Marketing, Business or other related field
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ related experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful trade marketing programs
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using data to inform decision-making
  • Experience in a distribution environment would be an asset.
  • Must own and operate a reliable motor vehicle
  • Be willing to work flexible hours
  • Be highly creative and have good presentation skills
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Be energetic and passionate about products under management
