JP Tropical Foods Limited, a subsidiary of Pan Jamaica Group, is a diverse, fast-growing Company and the nation’s leading supplier of high quality fresh produce with export markets in the U.S.A. and Caribbean is seeking a Brand Manager to join our dynamic team.
The successful candidate must be results oriented, highly motivated and assertive to be a part of a dynamic Commercial team charged with the leading all Marketing activities with the primary objective to support the achievement of budgeted revenues for the business.
The key requirements of this role are as follows:-
- Responsible for the development & execution of the Marketing and Commercial Plan for the fresh produce (bananas, plantains, pineapples, coconuts, etc.) produced and distributed by JP Farms, including product positioning, promotions, communication plans & channel plans (trade marketing & consumer marketing).
- Measure and report performance of all marketing campaigns and assess against targets (ROI and KPIs).
- Responsible for the full marketing mix for fresh produce including development and implementation of all Above-The Line, Digital, Research and Below-The-Line and Corporate Social responsibility activities.
- Responsible for planning, management and adherence to the Advertising and Promotions budget.
- Play a key role in New Product Development, designing & executing go-to-market strategies.
- Work closely with key agency partners to develop the appropriate supporting Marketing materials and be a day-to-day point of contact, in addition to custodian of all POS & advertising collateral.
- Assist in setting up regular reporting systems for key industry information & other relevant data to provide and inform the Sales and broader Management team with key insights and trend analysis.
- Provide support to initiatives focused on improving brand perception and customer experience.
Other responsibilities of this role include (but not limited to):-
- Assist with weekly tracking of sales performance vs KPIs and working closely with sales team to mutually deliver sales targets.
- Work closely with the Commercial team to seek, onboard and negotiate deals with new customers.
- Support the Commercial team in tracking key customer sales and arranging quarterly and on-demand reviews to improve customer performance and retention.
To be a part of our Team the following qualifications, key competencies and qualities are required:-
- A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business Administration preferred
- Three (3) years in a similar role in an FMCG environment
- The ideal candidate must be outgoing, conscientious, able to work both independently and as a team.
- Highly computer literate with experience in preparing presentations (PowerPoint)
- Experience in managing a company’s social media (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, etc.)
- Experience in coordinating marketing and advertising campaigns with external service providers (advertising agencies, graphic artists, print houses, promotional item distributors)
- Flexibility and good analytical skills
- Possess a valid passport and US visa and able to travel locally and internationally as required
