Business Development Lead

The Business Development Lead will be instrumental in growing the client base and enhancing market presence of JOH Investments Ltd., a financial and investment company located in Kingston, Jamaica. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and executing strategic sales initiatives. We are looking for a results-driven individual with a solid understanding of the financial sector and a proven sales track record.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Business Development: Craft and implement growth-oriented strategies, targeting potential markets and segments within the financial services industry.
  • Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: Develop long-term client partnerships through networking and tailored solutions, collaborating with marketing to enhance client engagement.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to stay ahead of trends and competitor activities, providing actionable insights to senior management.
  • Promotion of Financial Services: Present and customize financial product offerings to align with client investment goals.
  • Sales Execution & Growth: Lead the sales process from prospecting to closing, meeting sales targets and contributing to revenue growth.
  • Team Collaboration & Mentorship: Work closely with the Marketing team and support junior members by fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all activities comply with financial regulations and mitigate potential risks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s or finance certifications preferred).
  • 5+ years in business development, sales, or client management in financial services.
  • Proven success in meeting sales goals and growing client bases.
  • Strong knowledge of financial products and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical skills with proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
