The Brand Co-ordinator is responsible for developing and executing direct marketing strategies, sales and distribution plans for assigned products to generate consumer interest and contribute to the achievement of sales targets.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Brand Co-ordinator is responsible for developing and executing direct marketing strategies, sales and distribution plans for assigned products to generate consumer interest and contribute to the achievement of sales targets. The incumbent will also be responsible for establishing, maintaining and expanding relationships with Customers and Suppliers/Principals and for creating new and innovative branding opportunities. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Completes requires sales forecasts for products under the incumbent’s review, in keeping with established timelines for same.
  • Works closely with relevant personnel and key members of the supply chain process, to minimize stock-outs by reviewing sales, planned activities and launches.
  • Develops overall sales and distribution strategies for assigned brands.
  • Works with the relevant personnel to create and implement Trade plans securing necessary approvals.
  • Conducts market research to ensure appropriateness of marketing plans.
  • Reviews and analyses sales information on a regular basis and provides recommendations on plans as necessary by Account or by Brand.
  • Coordinates the distribution of trade samples for new products to Key Accounts.
  • Analyses all programs proposed by Suppliers. Principals and makes any required adjustments to ensure alignment with assigned territories.
  • Assists Suppliers/ Principals with product launches when requested.
  • Participates in Sales meetings as required.
  • Develops and strengthens in-dept relationships with Key Account personnel and conducts periodic trade visits as required.
  • Works in conjunction with the relevant Company personnel to set merchandising objectives.
  • Ensures brand planograms are passed on to the relevant Company personnel for dissemination to Trade staff.
  • Conducts regular checks at store level to monitor performance and makes recommendations for adjustments where necessary.
  • Gathers trade and competitive information and provides feedback to the appropriate Company personnel to assist in making informed decisions.
  • Works with both internal and external stakeholders to create engaging and informative promotional and advertising material which is in keeping with the Company’s agreed brand message and Supplier/Principal negotiated and agreed terms for same. 
  • Ensures necessary credits for promotions are processed and assists in monitoring trade marketing activities to ensure that expenditure is within specified budgets.
  • Manages and maintains all related inventory to ensure accountability of all promotional material.

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • Undergraduate Degree in Marketing, Business Management or Business Administration with a Marketing specialization or focus. 

EXPERIENCE:

  • At least two (2) - three (3) years experience in Sales/ Marketing is required. 

OTHER CERTIFICATION:

  • Must hold a valid Trinidad and Tobago Class 3 Driver’s Permit. 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Availability and willingness to travel throughout Trinidad and Tobago.
  • Must own a reliable vehicle.
