Job Description
Position Title: Branch Supervisor
Reports To: Operations Manager
Position Summary
The Branch Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the branch to ensure efficiency, customer satisfaction, and compliance with company policies. This role involves supervising staff, managing workflows, and addressing customer needs while ensuring the branch meets its performance targets. The Branch Supervisor acts as the primary point of contact for resolving operational challenges and ensuring smooth coordination across all areas of the branch.
Key Responsibilities
1. Daily Operations Management
- Oversee all branch activities to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Monitor the workflow to ensure that deliveries, pickups, and customer service are executed on schedule.
- Ensure the proper handling, storage, and tracking of packages in compliance with company protocols.
- Manage the implementation of operational procedures and identify opportunities for improvement.
2. Staff Supervision and Development
- Supervise, train, and mentor branch staff to maximize productivity and service quality.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
- Schedule and coordinate shifts to ensure adequate staffing during peak times.
- Address staff concerns and foster a collaborative working environment.
3. Customer Service Excellence
- Act as the first point of contact for customer inquiries and complaints.
- Ensure that customers receive exceptional service by addressing issues promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with staff to resolve complex customer concerns and ensure satisfaction.
4. Inventory and Resource Management
- Monitor and manage branch inventory, including packaging materials and supplies.
- Ensure all equipment is functional and report maintenance or replacement needs promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and submit timely reports.
5. Compliance and Safety
- Ensure that all branch operations comply with company policies and local regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization within the branch.
- Monitor and enforce safety protocols to protect staff and customers.
6. Reporting and Performance Tracking
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports for management review.
- Track branch performance metrics and work to meet or exceed established targets.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve branch efficiency and profitability.
7. Cash and Financial Management
- Oversee daily cash handling procedures, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
- Reconcile cash and transaction records and report discrepancies to management.
Qualifications and Skills
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a customer-facing or logistics-related role.
- Proven track record of managing staff and operational processes effectively.
Skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with logistics software
- Ability to multitask and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment
- Requires standing for extended periods, lifting packages
- Involves weekend shifts based on branch operational needs
