We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bottling Line Operator to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Bottling Line Operator has responsibility for maintaining equipment and monitoring the bottling and batching systems, ensuring compliance with preset standards. The incumbent is further required to ensure that products meet the required specifications to support the Company's overall strategy and goals.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the bottle inspection system, bottle-coding system, batching system’s operation and maintenance
  • Produce PET bottles toqualitystandards of zero defects and quantity standards of not less than 90% availability
  • Conduct maintenance activities on production machines and equipment at a sufficiently high level to ensure that agreed minimum machine efficiency standards are maintained
  • Perform routine maintenance to the ozonator, bottle inspector, bottle coder
  • Ensure that all areas of responsibility are safe, clean and organized at all times
  • Perform duties at all times in conformance with documented procedures
  • Operate the assigned machine at a steady speed to achieve optimum line efficiency and quality ratings
  • Monitor the cap hopper to keep steady cap flow to the capping machine
  • Maintain product fill level in accordance with document procedures
  • Change over and setup machine based on product size and store change parts correctly
  • Ensure proper operation and changeover of bottle inspection system
  • Ensure proper operation and changeover of coding equipment
  • Perform batching of ingredients and verification of product water for filling
  • Complete records and work orders and submit to the respective Supervisor in a timely manner
  • Diagnose complex equipment failures
  • Dismantle, repair and reassemble complex equipment
  • Carry out sanitation (3-Step, 5-Step CIP, high ozone, foaming etc.) as required
  • Maintain accurate logs forqualitychecks, downtime reports, critical control points (CCPs), and operating conditions
  • Operate with a view to meet ISO 9001, ISO 14000, ISO 18000 and FSSC 22000 standards, regulatory requirements, and any other third party management systems as required
  • Maintain a Safe and Healthy Work Environment according to GMP Housekeeping standards
  • Support the Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems and the Environmental Management Systems in accordance with the following International Standards: Occupational Health and Environment, Quality Management Systems and Food Safety respectively
  • Attend trainings scheduled by Company
  • Any other duty as may be assigned within the scope of the job

Required Qualification, Experience, Knowledge and skills:

  • Certification from HEART NTEI with one (1) year experience working in Production
  • 5 CXC/CSEC passed including Mathematics and English Lanuage. 
  • Technical background in Industrial Maintenance required
  • Effective communication skills – written and verbal with the ability to give clear instructions
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with great creative thinking abilities
  • Highly capable of functioning well individually and on a team
