ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Supervises the day-to-day functions of the Facilities Team including hiring, assigning workload and schedules, review of work hours and pay, leave requests, monitoring and evaluating performance, training and development, resolving issues, documenting and implementing coaching and discipline, and motivation/rewards.
Inspects facilities, machinery, equipment, systems, etc., to verify safety, maintenance, conditions, functions, and quality.
Reviews and/or inspectswork for quality, accuracy, and completeness.
Recommends, plans and implements repairs and preventive maintenance; recommends priorities; establishes related schedules.
Uses skill and technical expertise to frequently perform hands-on repairs and maintenance.
Coordinates and assigns tasks and projects within department.
Works with other departments, leaders, local/government officials, and vendors on bids and projects; provides assistance in resolving problems; adheres to deadlines.
Acts as a point of contact for construction, remodeling/renovation activities.
Writes, reviews, and/or negotiates grants, contracts and/or agreements, seeking final approval from required leadership.
Establishes cleaning schedules, procedures and coordinates these activities in a cost-effective way.
Coordinates and performs maintenance and housekeeping needs for the corporate house to ensure quality experiences for house guests.
Develops, evaluates and reviews plans and criteria for a variety of related activities including corrective action plans for facilities not in compliance; assesses feasibility of proposed plans, projects and equipment.
Schedules and conducts inspections and/or investigations; resolves environmental, safety and/or audit issues.
Coordinates required and recommended safety signage, lighting, etc.; Works with HR on regular safety drills as appropriate.
Prepares and defends budget recommendations, requests, reports, proposals and/or projections.
Participates in the planning, designing, construction and maintenance of facilities.
Writes or drafts correspondence, reports, documents and/or other written materials.
Ensures compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines, etc.
Manages facilities-related inventory such as furniture, chairs, desks, etc.; May manage key inventory if needed.
Performs related research in order to recommend and carry out responsibilities.
May assist with business continuity planning and emergency management.
May assist in the development of comprehensive master plans; ensures diverse interests, directions and policies are represented and consistent.
Other tasks as assigned and related to facilities.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises up to 12 team members. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Knowledge of:
Planning, organizing and direction of maintenance and housekeeping staff;
Basic computer skills including keyboarding; Computer programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook;
Troubleshooting techniques, basic repair and appropriate use of power tool and diagnostic instruments;
Standard leadership practices, principles and practices of facilities operations, maintenance, and management;
DUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Supervisory experience required: Minimum 1-2 years in a supervisory role with similar responsibilities.
High School diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent required.
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred; or additionalsix months to one year related experience and/or training with repairs/maintenance/troubleshooting; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Valid driver's license or other Government issued ID.
