Assistant House Manager

Job Description:

The Assistant House Manger is accountable to Villa Management/Homeowner/Head of House for the smooth operation of the Villa.  Performance standards are achieved when there is enthusiastic contact with club owners, members and guests in residence.  The Assistant House manager is responsible to ensure all food and beverage needs are professionally met and that first-class service of the highest standard is maintained.

 

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

 

  • Knowledge of hospitality practices and procedures for excellent service
  • Training and knowledge of written communication formats – English
  • Knowledge of Tryall Club facilities and services offered
  • Knowledge of Club policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of Tryall Club Villas and Property
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Ability to work well and remain professional under varying levels of work stress
  • Ability to communicate effectively and politely in verbal contact with co-workers, guests and owners.
  • Ability to function professionally in a wide range of work settings

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Prepare and serve drinks, coffee, tea, etc. as required by the guests and Homeowners.
  • Ensure that silverware and glasses are polished regularly and properly stored
  • Be readily available to attend to the needs of your guests at mealtime and otherwise. 
  • Ensure that the Bar area is clean and glasses are polished and neatly packed away in their respective places.  
  • Do minor touch up painting around the villa when necessary
  • Clean fans, windows/door screens as necessary
  • Assist the Maid with the cleaning of all glass doors in living room and around the pool area
  • Clean all light fixtures, including chandeliers 
  • Clean all patio furnishings, pool cushions and chairs – secure these indoors especially during the rain and when the villa is not occupied
  • Keep golf carts in working order and full of gas.  Keep homeowner’s vehicle and golf carts cleaned.
  • Assist in welcoming and hosting guests, ensuring their needs are anticipated and exceeded.
  • Address and resolve guest inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly.
  • Coordinate special requests or experiences, such as private dining, tours, or events.
  • Monitor staff performance and report issues or recommendations to the HOH.
  • Any other duties assigned.

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

 

  • Must have minimum Level 3 or 4 HEART Certification or from another recognized training institution.
  • Two to three years’ experience in the hospitality industry (preferably a five star or five diamond establishments).
  • At least five (5) years hands-on experience in the delivery of meticulous guest service.
  • Experience managing five (5) or more persons.
  • The willingness and ability to sleep over (nights) at the villa.
  • A valid Food Handlers Permit.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
  • Very flexible with time.
